Procedure for Approval and Funding

The purpose of the Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) opportunities is to focus on faculty expanding their cross-cultural knowledge within international business and incorporating that new knowledge into teaching and research. The Marriott School Deans and the Global Management Center join efforts to make funding for FDIBýs possible for all BYU MSM faculty

If you are interested in attending an FDIB please contact Sherstin Creamer at gmc_faculty@byu.edu or at the Global Management Center TNRB 360 for an application form.

Upon acceptance, please be aware that the following procedures for funding will apply:

  • Fill out a travel application through your department, using the department account codes.
  • Make travel arrangements and register for program through BYU travel and your department.
  • Keep receipts from the trip, including receipts for transportation food and lodging, and registration.
  • After returning from the trip, fill out a travel reimbursement form through your department and attach all of your receipts.
  • The department secretary should fill out FDIB Conference Invoice and bring a copy of the financial statement to Sherstin Creamer or Heather Eastley at the Global Management Center (360 TNRB).

The Global Management Center and Dean's Office will reimburse the total costs of the program to the department.
