Curriculum Outline
Foundation Courses:
Students begin with basic classes in business management, finance, marketing, operations, organization effectiveness, economics, and accounting. All students are also required to attend a financial services lecture series where they hear from and interact with leading industry professionals.Financial core:
Students take core finance courses that prepare them for further study in one of five academies: insurance and financial planning, real estate, banking, risk management, or investment banking and management.Academy electives:
After completing core academy classes, students choose an elective course within their chosen area of interest. The elective course serves as a bridge from course work to a financial services profession.Many of these courses offer students real-world consulting projects and field studies relating to their area of focus. They learn the practical language associated with financial services, which helps prepare them for professional certification.
